East Central Dispatch Center (ECDC) has been consolidated since 2002 and is the 9-1-1 PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) responsible for dispatching Police, Fire, and EMS for the cities of Brentwood, Clayton, Maplewood, Olivette, Richmond Heights, Rock Hill, and Webster Groves..
ECDC is a CALEA ® Accredited Communications Center, all dispatchers are certified Emergency Medical Dispatchers (EMD), professionally trained and skilled, and ready to answer your call for assistance and send the appropriate resources for your needs.

A Comprehensive Consolidated Effort
The East Central Dispatch Center (ECDC) provides dispatching services of the highest quality. In order to provide high-quality services and be cost effective to members, ECDC must maximize its current resources. Ongoing evaluation of staffing, facilities, and technology will be used to identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, including the opportunity to add new members.
The commitment of member cities is essential to ECDC’s continued existence and ability to provide cost-effective services. Member cities have other options for emergency services and ECDC must compete. Commitment from member cities will be earned through continued attention to cost and quality of service as well as diligent communication with the Board of Directors, transparency in decision-making and budgeting, and careful evaluation of new members if that is deemed appropriate.
